My current experiments learning the Android platform. I'm currently working on an App called WallSwitch that will automagically switch your wallpaper for you, at a defined interval. I figured I might as well do something the iPhone can't do (for now).
Great application. One thing I would like to suggest would be to set a time for the app to switch wallpapers. It looks like it currently just switches on the interval you set starting from the time you turn the auto switch on (or manually change the wallpaper).
ReplyDeleteIf possible, I would like to set a time to switch (say 1:00 AM), so this way I have a new wallpaper every morning when I get up.
Otherwise, great app.
Hi! just installed WallSwitch. I created a folder on my SD card and placed a couple of files on it. When I open the "folders" settings, my new folder does not appear on it. Is there any way to force it to reload the folder list, or otherwise point it to a specific folder in the card?
ReplyDeleteHe mklopez. Android keeps an internal list of pictures that it knows about (the list you see in the Gallery app) and my folders list is generated off of that. Are you wallpapers showing up in Gallery, but now in WallSwitch?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply Keith. I have a "photos" folder on the SD card, and I created the wallpapers folder under it. Both Gallery and WallSwitch show the photos folder, but not the wallpaper subfolder. A quick Google search on the matter doesnt give any useful solutions. Any ideas?
ReplyDeletemklopez, sorry, but I haven't got much. Gallery usually picks up on that right after you unplug the USB cable Maybe rebooting the phone will make it re-scan and pick up the changes.
ReplyDeleteFollow up: Removed Wallswitch. Then the next day I noticed that my new folder was showing up in the Gallery list, so I went back and installed Wallswitch again, it shows the folder now and works fine. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI used to use this to change the wallpapers on my Moto Defy. Today I installed it on my new Samsung Galaxy Note and found that WallSwitch resizes the wallpaper too small. I think the big screen of Galaxy Note confuses the program.
ReplyDeleteWould you please fix it? Thank you!
Hi, I love yours app. It would be great if you could select different folder for vertical and horizontal orientation of the phone. Best regards!
